These units can be modified into cable descramblers by the end user if he/she wishes to install an Avenger MX Video Board. We do not sell or stock Avenger MX Video Boards nor do we preinstall them into our cable converters. If you wish to purchase an Avenger MX Video Board, please try searching Yahoo or Ebay . For Analog Descrambler (cable box)

Q: Certain channels do not come in clearly?
Please try one of the answers below.
A1: Use the CFT button first and then push the F+ and F- buttons on the remote to fine-tune the picture.

A2:Try the different frequency settings HRC,STD,and IRC located on the bottom of the box.

A3:Try hooking up the box to the main cable line in the house.

A4:Most cases are you are trying to access channels you are not paying for or are trying to access channels on a subscription plan that you are not paying for.

Q: The picture looks like a negative or x-ray, what is it and how do I fix it?
A1: It's inversion, just click MEM1 button on the remote to invert the picture back to normal color.

A2:Sometimes the channel inverts by mistake to fix this just go up and down on the channel until it becomes normal again.

Q: There are some channels where I get nothing, is there something wrong with the box?

A: You most likely do NOT have a live station on every channel on the dial. Or you are trying to access channels you are not paying for or are trying to access channels on a subscription plan that you are not paying for.

Q: Basic stations are grainy, snowy, or poor quality OR I have to fine tune every time I switch channels OR all the channels come in except channels 5 & 6 OR only channels 5 & 6 come in OR numerous channels are only received in black and white.
A1: Make sure your TV and the box are set on the correct channel (3 or 4), turn off the power and change the setting on the back of the box. Also make sure you don't have a Blocker on your line.

A2:Check the frequency settings HRC,STD,and IRC located on the bottom of the box.

Q:Why do I get no sound on some channels?

A1:Make sure the box has the volume up or have the mute off.

A2:Make sure the tv has the volume up or have the mute off.

Q: I get absolutely nothing, no channels at all. What am I doing wrong?

A1:Make sure that you properly plug the unit into the cable going from the house then to the tv.

A2:Try changing the channel on the tv up and down or unplugging the unit then plugging it back in again.

A3: Make sure your TV and the box are set on the correct channel (3 or 4). Or you are trying to access channels you are not paying for or are trying to access channels on a subscription plan that you are not paying for.

Q:The box is stuck on one channel only and won't change no matter what I do how can I solve this?

A:Most likely the problem is you stored only one channel into favorites to fix this press the button FAV on the remote.

Q:Some channels don't come and I'm also seeing "LOC" displayed on the box how do I fix this?

A:You have the channel locked with parental lock to fix this press the button plock then press then following buttons 2 9 9 9 .

Q:I have problems getting the frequency settings to work?

A: After you switch the setting unplug the box then plug the unit back in.
